AhlulBayt News Agency: Members of the Iranian Parliament gathered at Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum on Wednesday to reaffirm their allegiance to the principles of the Islamic Revolution and honor the late founder of the movement.
According to IRNA, the visit took place ahead of two significant anniversaries—the passing of Imam Khomeini on June 3, 1989, and the Khordad 15 uprising on June 5, 1963, which marked a pivotal moment in Iran’s revolutionary history.
Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late Imam and custodian of the mausoleum, welcomed the lawmakers as they paid tribute.
During the ceremony, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized the parliament’s unwavering commitment to Imam Khomeini’s ideals, highlighting their foundation in rationality, spirituality, and justice.
Located near Behesht-e Zahra, Iran’s largest cemetery in southern Tehran, Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum remains a site of national significance, drawing visitors who seek to honor his legacy and reflect on the values of the Islamic Revolution.
